We are very proud to announce that neckermann.ch AG (belonging to the neckermann.de group, one of the biggest German mail order companies) was recently launched using OXID eShop software. OXID lab uploaded a new module for country specific tax definition. This module covers a specific exception in EU tax law and is useful for stores that brake a certain amount of their turnover exporting goods to other countries. Also this extension might be a good basis for countries with a different tax system. Help us maintaining this module!

OXID eSales today released version 4.4.0 of OXID eShop for productive use. It is the first and only eCommerce software that includes advanced Private Sales and Live Shopping features in its Open Source package. Additionally, the new version integrates Facebook Connect, Share, Like, Comment, Invite, Chat, and more.

OXID eShop 4.3.2 is released. Mostly bug fixes and some slight template changes have been made. Additionally, the cumulative packages tool for easy updating is now available. We also introduced a new version of the oxchkversion script that checks whether an update was successful.

OXID Commons 2010 just ended, and I'd like to share my impressions with you. Our second annual community event once again showed the diversity of our community, its innovative power, and highlighted how much it has grown over the past months.

Everyone in the community knows what the just released OXID eShop 4.3 is about, because it is very much based on input from the community.

We extended the forum functionality by adding mobile features for your convenience. The portal now recognizes when you are browsing with your mobile device and uses a special theme for mobile handsets. The Tapatalk application client for mobile phones in another option for a great mobile experience.

We have made OXIDforge much easier to navigate by introducing a new header and top navigation as well as landing pages featuring all developer resources at a glance.

Everyone who is interested in all things Open Source ecommerce and OXID eSales products such as OXID eShop is highly welcome to attend the 2nd OXID Commons in Freiburg i.Br., Germany on May 6-7, 2010. Including for example shop owners, users, developers, solution partners, integration partners and of course OXID staff.

OXID eShop owners can sell their products via smart phones starting in March. Mobilemojo offers an application that enables mobile shopping via iPhone and Android cell phones.
