You can manage products in Administer Products -> Products. All products are listed in the top half. You can use the entry fields above the list to search for particular products. Click a product to edit the settings for the category in the bottom half of the screen.

The main settings

  • You can activate and deactivate the product using Active. If a product is deactivated, it will not be displayed to users.
  • At Title enter the name of the product.
  • At Prod. No. you can give the product its own product number.
  • In EAN you can enter the European product number of the product.
  • At Man. EAN you can enter the EAN manufacturer ID.
  • In Short descr. you can enter a short description of the product.
  • In Search terms you can enter the terms under which the product can be found when users are searching for it.
  • The Tags are generated by the users of your OXID eShop: The users can enter additional key words for products.
  • At Manufacturer you can specify the manufacturer of the product. You can find out how to set up manufacturers at Setting up manufacturers.
  • At Price enter the price of the product.
  • Using Alt. Prices you can set up special prices for certain users. How this functions is explained in Setting up specific prices for certain users.
  • At Spec. VAT you can set up a special VAT rate for the product. You can find out more about different VAT rates at VAT: Basics.
  • In the large text field on the right you can enter a detailed description of the product. This is displayed to users when they view the product. Details of how to use the text editor are given in Using the text editor.
