OXID eShop installation involves several steps:

  • You need a server that meets the system requirements.
    • For information regarding the system requirements for the Professional Edition, refer to the System requirements on the Professional Edition product page.
    • For information regarding the system requirements for the Community Edition, refer to the System requirements on the Community Edition product page.

    If you do not yet have a web server, refer to the OXID eSales website for a List of web hosting providers where OXID eShop operates problem-free.

  • You must create a database for the OXID eShop on the server. The procedure for this is described in Creating a database.
  • You must copy the OXID eShop files to the server. The procedure for this is described in Copying files to the server.
  • Finally, you must open Setup. This step completes the OXID eShop installation. Setup is explained in Opening Setup.
