Forum Rules

This is a discussion forum for the open exchange of information and views concerning everything eCommerce. Users are requested to observe the following forum guidelines. This is an english speaking forum. For discussion in other languages please use the matching sub forum. If you are missing your language please send a message.

We welcome your contributions regarding eCommerce, shop marketing, the order process, logistics, payment and OXID eSales’ products and services. Please remember that this is an information exchange platform for users; this is not an OXID support forum. If you have any questions you’d like to direct to OXID eSales, please contact the OXID Support Team, alternatively you may find the answer to your question by browsing the Documentation.

These rules apply to the forum as well as to comments posted to www.oxid-esales.com.

  1. You must be registered as a user in order to actively participate in a discussion. Non-registered users are only able to read posts. All data submitted for registration must be truthful. Registration applies only for use of the forum.
  2. You may choose any nickname (user name) as long as it does not violate any of the following rules. Please your use real name as nickname. Multiple registrations (several user accounts) are discouraged and will be deleted by the moderator. Team nicks (one account for several users) are likewise not permissible.
  3. Please observe the common rules of netiquette; communication should always be conducted in a courteous and friendly manner.
  4. Any personal correspondence with moderators and other users is to be conducted via private messages or emails. Do not post private and unpublicized correspondence (this includes excerpts) without prior permission from the originator and the affected party and by citing this permission.
  5. In general quotes should be used sparingly in the forum. If larger quotes are to be posted, please add a brief description with a link.
  6. Please formulate your questions and responses keeping in mind the relevance and use to forum members. When posting a new forum topic please choose a headline that summarizes your position. Posts that are not relevant to the discussion or that serve no purpose other than to disrupt and offend are not allowed. Do not duplicate your posting or cross-post to multiple forums. For logical reasons your contribution should be posted in only one thread. You are obligated to search through the archive before you post a new topic. You may post a new thread only when the topic does not already exist.
  7. Your signature may contain a link to your website; it may not contain a banner. Links to commercial sites are not permissible when the content of the website is not relevant to the discussion. It is not permitted to use the forum to sell used software licenses.
  8. By registering to this forum you agree that each contribution represents the opinion of the author only and that the administrators, moderators and operators of this forum are solely responsible for their own contributions.
  9. Any violation to lawfully protected personal or corporate rights is prohibited.

We reserve the right to abbreviate or completely remove posts without comment if they represent an infringement of any of the rules shown above. Users who violate forum rules may be permanently banned.
