Many products go well together and can be offered as a set. With a bundle that the customer assembles right on the product page and whose price updates live, the set becomes tangible. The OPAL brings this configurator with it – the completed bundle ends up as a single order in the cart.

Slot-based configurator
The shop manager defines component slots; per slot the customer chooses a variant (dropdown) or adds an option (checkbox). Preselections per slot are possible, hidden slots are always included in the calculation without being shown.
Live price calculation
Bundle price = base price of the bundle article plus the sum of the components (× quantity). Three modes (cheapest, preselected, most expensive selection), optional rounding (none/.95/.99) and a "from €X" display when variants result in different totals.
Preconfigured bundles & sharing
Fully preconfigured bundles can be bought directly from category/list views. A specific configuration can be encoded as a shareable bundle URL – handy for marketing and campaigns.
Maintenance in the admin & OXAPI
Bundles are maintained via the article tab "Bundle components" – order slots by drag & drop, search articles, set a preselection. In addition, an OXAPI is available through which bundles can be connected.
Variant inheritance & lock
Variants inherit the bundle configuration of the parent article (can be overridden). The configurator is locked until the customer has chosen a variant (e.g. size), so that price and stock are unambiguous.
Stock from the components
Bundle availability is derived from the minimum of the required components (including the quantity per slot). Optional slots can be included in or excluded from the calculation via a setting; components that are not stock-managed count as unlimited.
